PRENATAL & POSTNATAL YOGA
Supporting Every Stage of Your Motherhood Journey
Pregnancy and the postnatal period are two times of profound transformation for the body.
Prenatal yoga helps you navigate these changes with gentleness — by strengthening the muscles that support your baby, learning to manage discomfort through breathing techniques, and preparing mentally for childbirth.
Postnatal yoga supports recovery after birth: it helps rebuild core strength, strengthen the pelvic floor, relieve back tension linked to breastfeeding and carrying your baby — while giving you precious time just for yourself.
Daphné is certified in prenatal and postnatal yoga. She offers private home sessions in Cassis and La Ciotat, online classes, and can welcome expecting mothers into her Vinyasa Soft group classes with prior approval.

Prenatal or postnatal —
two approaches
Each stage comes with its own specific needs — here is what Daphné offers you throughout your journey.
During Pregnancy
Prenatal Yoga · Trimesters 1, 2 & 3
Private Sessions
Postures adapted to each trimester — the practice evolves alongside your pregnancy.
1st trimester: gentle movements and support during nausea.
2nd trimester: opening, mobility, and renewed energy.
3rd trimester: preparation for childbirth, birth-supportive postures, and breathwork.
Private sessions are recommended for personalised guidance and optimal support throughout your pregnancy.
After Childbirth
Postnatal Yoga · Once Rehabilitation Is Complete
Private Sessions
The return to practice is gradual, after medical approval and completion of pelvic floor rehabilitation.
Gentle strengthening of the pelvic floor and deep core muscles, decompression postures to relieve back tension, and breathing exercises — at your own pace, without pressure.
Your baby can be present depending on the chosen format.

FAQ
PRENATAL & POSTNATAL FAQ
When Can I Start Prenatal Yoga?
Prenatal yoga can begin from the first trimester, with the approval of your doctor or midwife. Daphné adapts the programme to each stage of pregnancy — postures and intensity evolve as your body changes.
Do I Need Previous Yoga Experience?
No, no previous yoga experience is required. Prenatal yoga is accessible to all expecting mothers, including those who have never practised yoga before. Daphné explains each movement and adapts every posture to your needs.
When Can I Resume Postnatal Yoga After Giving Birth?
Generally, you can return to yoga after completing pelvic floor rehabilitation, usually around 6 to 8 weeks after childbirth. After a C-section, a longer recovery period may be needed depending on medical advice. Daphné always works alongside your midwife’s or healthcare professional’s guidance.
Can I Bring My Baby to Postnatal Classes?
Yes, for private home sessions, your baby can be present. The session can be adapted to include moments with your baby if you wish, or you can practise while your baby is sleeping.
