CERTIFIED ROSE PILATES - CASSIS & LA CIOTAT

Rose Pilates —
with you

through every stage

Rose Pilates is a Pilates programme specifically adapted for women affected by breast cancer — during treatment or in remission. Gentle movement, body reconnection, and a deeply compassionate approach.

Daphne Rose Pilates

Dedicated support with respect and compassion

Rose Pilates is a certified programme that adapts Pilates practice to the specific needs of women affected by breast cancer. Each session is designed with a precise understanding of the effects of treatments on the body — surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and hormone therapy — to provide movement that is always adapted, never forced.

ROSE PILATES

Why movement is essential during and after

Medical research is now clear: adapted movement significantly improves quality of life for women during and after breast cancer. It helps reduce treatment-related fatigue, preserve muscle mass, improve mood and sleep, and contributes to reducing the risk of recurrence.

Rose Pilates translates this medical evidence into a gentle, practical, and accessible practice. Daphné is certified by the Rose Pilates programme — specialised training covering breast surgery anatomy, the effects of cancer treatments on the body, and the precise adaptations required for each posture.

Each session is private and confidential, held in an environment of complete respect and without judgement. There is no performance expected, no progress to prove — only a space to reconnect with your body at your own pace.

BENEFITS OF ROSE PILATES

At every stage

A programme adapted to your journey

Rose Pilates supports every stage of the cancer journey — each session is tailored to your individual situation.

01

During treatment

Very gentle movements, with complete respect for fatigue levels. The goal is not performance — it is to maintain a positive connection with your body during a challenging time.

02

After surgery

Recovery of shoulder and arm mobility, lymphatic drainage through movement, and progressive rebuilding. Sessions are adapted in coordination with your medical team.

03

In remission

Progressive return to movement, rebuilding strength and confidence. Movement becomes a tool for prevention and reconnecting with a transformed body.

How It Works

A Typical Session

Each session lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour. Sessions are entirely one-to-one and can take place in the comfort of your home, at the studio in La Ciotat, or online via video call.

  • Initial Consultation (5–10 minutes)

At the beginning of each session, Daphné takes time to understand how you're feeling that day—your energy levels, any discomfort or pain, and where you are in your treatment or recovery. Every session is adapted in real time to meet your current needs.

  • Breathing Exercises (5–10 minutes)

Breath is at the heart of Pilates—and even more so in Rose Pilates. Gentle breathing techniques help oxygenate the body, reduce stress, encourage relaxation, and prepare you for safe, mindful movement.

  • Tailored Movement Practice (25–35 minutes)

This part of the session focuses on gentle core strengthening, shoulder and arm mobility, targeted stretching, and postural alignment. Every exercise is carefully adapted to your stage of recovery—whether you're undergoing treatment, recovering from surgery, or in remission—as well as to your energy levels on the day.

  • Final Relaxation (5–10 minutes)

Each session ends with a guided relaxation, allowing your body and mind to fully absorb the benefits of the practice. You'll leave feeling calmer, more relaxed, and gently reconnected with yourself.

FAQ

Your questions about Rose Pilates

Do I need to have practised Pilates before?
No — no previous experience is required. Rose Pilates is accessible to all women, regardless of their previous level of practice. Daphné explains and adapts every exercise to your needs.

Can I practise during chemotherapy?
Yes, with your doctor’s approval and avoiding the most difficult days following infusions. Sessions are very gentle and adapted to your energy level at the time — sometimes simply breathing and gentle stretching are enough.

Can sessions be reimbursed?
Some health insurance providers and complementary health plans partially reimburse sessions with a certified professional. Daphné can provide a certificate. Please check with your provider.

Can I do the sessions online?
Yes — online sessions are perfectly suitable, especially during periods of fatigue or treatment. Daphné provides visual guidance through the camera and adapts the programme in real time.

Where do Rose Pilates sessions take place in Cassis and La Ciotat?
Daphné travels to your home in Cassis, La Ciotat, Aubagne, and nearby areas. Sessions can also take place at the studio in La Ciotat (La Maison Yoga Pilates, 3 Rue Castel) or online for those who cannot travel. The format is chosen according to what suits you best.

How much does a Rose Pilates session cost?
The price is discussed during a free initial phone consultation, depending on your situation and the chosen format (home, studio, or online). Some health insurance providers partially reimburse sessions — Daphné can provide a certificate as a certified professional.

Is Rose Pilates reimbursed?
Rose Pilates is not covered by the French Social Security system, but many health insurance providers and complementary plans reimburse all or part of the sessions as part of adapted physical activity (APA). Check with your provider and mention “adapted physical activity, certified Rose Pilates instructor”. Daphné can provide a certificate.

Can I practise Rose Pilates if I have lymphoedema?
Yes, with the appropriate adaptations. Daphné is trained in lymphoedema prevention and management as part of the Rose Pilates programme. Movements are selected to support lymphatic circulation without increasing risks. Prior medical advice is recommended.
